Guys, trust me—it’s so rare to find an artist from Korea whose tracks you can play 10 times in a row on repeat. When "If You Wanna" dropped, I was instantly obsessed. Then I finally dove headfirst into his full discography... oh my god, why is he so criminally underrated?! If I ever lose my memory, please remind me that Wonho's music is literally a piece of my soul. Both CORE and SYNDROME have been on repeat 24/7!
MINHO
Is there anything this man can't do?! I love his music so much and every single release hits. These guys are making genuinely incredible music! I can put Minho's tracks on repeat all day without getting tired—no noisy beats, no messy lyrics. Plus, I’m utterly obsessed with his style (always in classic black and white suits). I could spot his aesthetic and sound out of 1,000 artists. I've watched all his K-dramas too; he is literally my exact type in a man! (and that cute little lisp... pfhahahaha).
KESHI
I discovered his album REQUIEM (the title sounds a bit dramatic, not gonna lie!), but all 13 songs are a literal 10/10. His vocals blend so effortlessly with the instrumentation, and I’m completely sold on whatever he sings. Plus, I love how every track title is just one or two words—it feels so clean, cohesive, and intentional.
ДУРНОЙ ВКУС
It translates to "Bad Taste," but I fell completely in love with 5 of their tracks! I genuinely have no idea what they're yapping about most of the time, but the overall vibe makes me feel so happy to be alive (I actually looked up one set of lyrics and it literally translated to "I meow, you meow, let's meow together" pffft, YES I love this so much!!) I played their tracks at my birthday party and it was magical. The album art gives off total autumn energy—warm yellow sunlight, a cute skirt, and a white top.
MOLCHAT DOMA
I guess it falls under post-punk, but in a uniquely calm, atmospheric way. I highly recommend Этажи (Etazhi)—there is literally no way you won't get up and dance! It’s my first time exploring this style, and they’re easily my top pick right now.
DON TOLIVER
If my future kids ever ask me what real swag was, OCTANE is the answer. Period. When I listen to this release, it just feels like pure, effortless original music and the future of sound. Don Toliver IS the music.
A$AP ROCKY
No wonder Instagram kept recommending his songs for my stories and notes! Don't Be Dumb is an absolute 10/10 and easily one of my top albums of the year. Side note: I am officially the biggest fan of "Punk Rocky"!

Hands down, CORTIS are the absolute coolest people defining the scene—literally, 'C' stands for cool boyz. Top-tier aesthetic in fashion and lifestyle, and their music gets instantly stuck in my head. Seonghyeon might steal the spot as my ult bias, but with Martin, James, Juhon, and Keonho constantly wrecking the list, the whole group is impossible not to obsess over!

I haven't missed a single episode of 4SHOBOSHOW! My only real complaint is that they leave us starving for selfies—way too stingy with their Instagram posts (unlike CORTIS, who drop a thousand photos per day so you always have fresh options for your pfp). Ohyul completely won my heart as my ult bias, but Ryul makes it so hard to stay loyal... like, please stop staring at me! Tbh, Ryul is my exact ideal type in a man, and if I were ever born as a guy, I’d want to be him. 4SHOVILLE is officially my ultimate favorite album forever, and at this point Jay Park is basically the 5th member of the group!

★At the start of the year I was learning Russian, which led me to two artists that I'm now forever obsessed with! I honestly thought Russian music was strictly crazy punk, but turns out that’s totally not true.
★Whenever I discover a song I like, I don't just look up the artist's #1 most popular hit—I listen to the entire album sequentially (no shuffle!).
★I can't stand super hyped viral songs while they're trending; I usually only fall in love with them after the hype dies down. However, if I discovered the song before it blew up, I don't get annoyed when it goes viral—I just feel like a proud pioneer because I was there first!
★I care way more about the beat, production, and instrumentation than the actual lyrics or deep meaning. But there's a limit: if I later realize the lyrics are trashy or gross, I'll completely ruin the song for myself and drop it immediately (R.I.P. to my former favorite Cigarettes After Sex song).
★My music taste is genuinely just whatever sounds good to me—thankfully my ears are vast & appreciative of so many different sounds!
